Bruce Dickson

Bruce has served Forestar as Chief Real Estate Officer since March 2011.
Bruce has served Forestar as Chief Real Estate Officer since March 2011. From 2009 through March 2011, he was the owner of Fairchild Investments LLC, a real estate investment firm. He served as Southeast Region President of Standard Pacific Corp. from 2004 to 2009 and as Austin Division President from 2002 to 2004. From 1991 – 2001, he held region or division president positions with D.R. Horton, Inc., Milburn Homes and Continental Homes. His prior experienced includes investment banking and financial services.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University.

John Pierret
Executive Vice President - Real Estate Acquisitions
John has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Real Estate Acquisitions since 2010.
John has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Real Estate Acquisitions since 2010. John came to Forestar as Executive Vice President of Pacific Guaranty Real Estate, which was acquired by Temple-Inland in 1986. John established our residential development division in the Dallas, Texas area, which grew to encompass Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, and Tampa.
In addition to his early experience as a Certified Public Accountant, John’s background includes eight years in corporate tax management and development of partnership retail centers. He is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting.

Michael Quinley
Executive Vice President - Real Estate, East Region
Michael has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Eastern Region Investment and Development since May 2008.
Michael has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Eastern Region Investment and Development since May 2008. Michael has more than 25 years of prior real estate experience, including his most recent position as CEO of Patrick Malloy Communities, an Atlanta-based land development and homebuilding company. He previously held positions with Cousins Properties Incorporated and Peachtree Corners Inc., both based in Atlanta.
Mr. Quinley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Georgia State University.

Tom Burleson
Executive Vice President - Real Estate, West Region
Tom has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Western Region Investment and Development since 2003.
Tom has served Forestar as Executive Vice President - Western Region Investment and Development since 2003. Tom's background includes over 25 years of financial and real estate-related experience, with expertise in large, master-planned communities with extensive amenity packages.
In addition to numerous positions affiliated with the Trammell Crow family, Tom was a partner in a Dallas-based holding company with investments in real estate, and oil and gas exploration and production. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Mary Cowser
Senior Vice President - Real Estate Market Research and Investment
Mary has served in Forestar’s Real Estate Services group since 2007.
Mary has served in Forestar’s Real Estate Services group since 2007. Mary’s primary responsibilities include underwriting, due diligence, financial analysis and market research supporting Forestar’s real estate operations. Her background includes over 27 years of financial and real estate-related experience, with concentration in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of real estate assets.
Prior to joining Forestar, Mary served as Senior Vice President of ClubCorp working in various capacities primarily supporting the company’s growth activities. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Houston.
