Forestar has timber growing on over 227,000 acres of our undeveloped land and land in the entitlement process. Forestar sells timber to industrial customers throughout our operating areas.
Our approach to managing our land and timber resources is a collaborative effort between expert area land managers and real estate sales professionals. Emphasis is placed on extracting timber value while enhancing the value and marketability of properties through "forestscaping," a process by which views, vistas and openings are created to give the forest a park-like appearance.
